My last name is ‘Kreisbuch’ (pronounced: Cries-buck). It’s of German origin, and to this day only the people living in Lancaster County, PA, have been able to pronounce it correctly on the first try. Most people try different variations. I’ve heard ‘Crease-buch,’ ‘Crease-book,’ but the most common mispronunciation is ‘Cries-booch.’ Booch gave way to Boosh, and my nickname was born!
My full name is Michael David Kreisbuch. I have a bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College in History and Russian Language in Literature. I’m a multilingual computer geek, avid history buff, a prolific writer, as well as a fan of public speaking and theater (acting/singing). Currently I work at a museum here in New York City as a Tour Guide.
